Lord's Day Worship
Service @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
in CHURCH BUILDING
At Christ Covenant Church we seek to worship
God according to His revealed Word, the Bible. We also seek the wisdom
of the Church of Jesus Christ given in history. Through, Biblical,
historic worship we attempt to avoid the extremes of trite sentimentalism,
entertainment-centered seeker-sensitive programs or dry formality.
Our order of service promotes congregational participation through
prayers, recitation of the Word of God and vigorous singing of Psalms
and hymns. Our service of worship is saturated with the Word of God,
whether read, recited, or proclaimed through preaching.
Because we seek to worship God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit with all our
heart, mind, soul and strength, the focus of our covenant renewal worship is
on Him and His gracious gifts to His covenant people. We approach the Throne
of Grace by humble confession and a calling on God for His mercy and help. We
recognize that we enter the very presence of Almighty God and so we must do so
with humility, awe and thankfulness. This does not mean worship should be gloomy.
On the contrary, we are to rejoice before the Lord with gladness!
God calls us to worship and His desire is to feed and nourish His people in order
to strengthen them for works of service in His Kingdom. We are fed the Word of
God and we eat at the Lord's Table every week. Thus, from the presence of the
Lord, we can go out into the world to fulfill our callings, living lives of faithful
obedience to His commands.

The Word of God encourages us to grow in our knowledge of God, His
world, His commandments, and His wisdom. To acquire these tools
for living we need to study the Bible. Our Discipleship Classes
are designed to help us fulfill that purpose; we learn not only what
to believe, but also how we are to live as faithful Christians in
this world. Our usual practice is to have our children
join in with the adult classes, but future children's classes are
planned for the coming year.

Give your children the confidence of knowing they belong to Jesus, the Good Shepherd! This unique program of religious instruction in order to assist parents in raising children to live in God’s world. They will:
1. Hear the great stories of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
2. Learn Bible verses, the Apostle’s Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the 10 Commandments, and much more.
3. They will learn to sing in harmony. Using Psalms & Hymns, they will learn part-singing in our Singing School.
4. They will receive training in worship. In other words, they will learn how to sit quietly and respectfully during a worship service; how to participate in joyful singing, heart-felt prayer, and the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
5. They will learn the basics of Christian Manners. The foundation of good manners is Jesus’ command to love your neighbor as yourself. Children enrolled in our program will learn how to show love and respect for others: parents, teachers, and friends.
Classes begin September 16th. Children may join classes that have already started.
